Growing up, I lived just four houses away from my Yiayia and Papou (Greek for Grandma and Grandpa). Yiayia Evie was—and still is—one of my favorite people. Her love for crafting was more than a hobby; it was her passion and her community. Every week, she gathered women from our neighborhood for craft sessions, and every year, she organized a charity craft fair that brought everyone together.

Whenever I visited Yiayia, she proudly showed me her latest creations. During craft fair season, she’d take me on a personal tour, explaining the time, detail, and love poured into each piece. I was captivated—not just by the beauty of the crafts, but by the joy and connection they represented.

As Yiayia crafted, I learned. My own love for handmade creations grew from those moments. Today, through Yiayia Evie, I carry forward her spirit of creativity and care. Every blanket and craft I share with you is inspired by her legacy—made with the same love, attention, and warmth that she taught me.
